The Kitchen Master Series was created when Friedman’s Appliances collaborated with Dawn Steimer from Master Custom Home Remodeling. Dawn is also well known for her Saturday morning radio talk show on 98.7 FM, Around the House. Kitchen remodeling is a huge undertaking and Friedman’s wanted to help homeowners by hosting an event where masters or experts from all areas of kitchen remodeling could present information and advice.
On October 16, Friedman’s Appliances was happy to host one of Knoxville’s own, Radio Celebrity Hallerin Hill. Russell Greer, the owner of Friedman’s, was asked to talk about Friedman’s as well as discuss the Kitchen Master Series event. Jeanette Pelfrey from Friedman’s and Dawn Steimer also stopped by to give a sneak peek of the event.
During the News Talk radio show, Hill invited Russell’s wife, Janet Greer, to speak about her two books. Right now she has a children’s book published called When You Hear a Siren that teaches children not to be afraid of loud sirens. The book is geared towards children from three to eight years of age and includes beautiful illustrations for the children to enjoy. Janet also talked about her newest book, The Nana Stories, a nonfiction book for adults. This book tells how different grandparenting is during this day and age. Janet has learned from years of experience with her six grandchildren ranging in age from 9 months to 9 years. The book is insightful and humorous and reflects stories from the heart of a modern-day grandmother. Both books are available through www.janetlgreer.com and will be available soon through Amazon.com.
On October 18, Friedman’s held their first Kitchen Master Series event. Attendees received information about cabinetry and countertops from Larry Fendley, president of Standard Kitchen and Bath; kitchen appliances from Jeanette of Friedman’s; and the contracting side of remodeling a kitchen from Dawn. There were door prizes and one lucky guest walked away with a brand new Electrolux dishwasher! Dacor’s representative, Jay Williamson, cooked up several delicious dishes for everyone.
During the event, Jay answered questions about the convection oven that he was using to bake the scrumptious treats. The sales staff was readily available to answer questions regarding appliances. Overall, Friedman’s first Kitchen Master Series was a success; guests walked away with a wealth of knowledge about remodeling kitchens. Friedman’s looks forward to having many more events to educate homeowners on how to create a dream kitchen. This event clearly demonstrates how Friedman’s is customer focused and makes every effort to help meet their needs.
