Do you dread removing stains from your clothes? Sometimes it’s just so frustrating because it seems like no matter what you do, the stain just won’t come out. With this in mind, I thought I’d give you some tips that may help you with some of your toughest stains.
Tea and coffee stains are among the hardest to remove. One tip for removing fresh tea or coffee stains is to pour boiling water over the stain until it’s gone. Another option is to soak the stain with a mix of borax and water and then launder the item. If it’s an old stain, it may be a little tougher to remove, so you can make a paste using borax and water and leave it on the stain for 15 minutes before throwing it in the washer.
If you have children, you’re probably used to grass stains. An easy tip for removing these stains is to pat the area with rubbing alcohol or diluted hydrogen peroxide before laundering it. If you don’t have those items handy, you can apply dishwashing detergent on the stain and let it sit for ten minutes before washing it.
Ink stains are some of the toughest stains to remove as well. Believe it or not, hairspray is a great tool for removing ink stains from clothing. All you have to do is spray it onto the stained area allowing it to penetrate the fabric and then sit for a few minutes. Afterward, throw it in the washer as usual.
Removing stains is no fun, but at least you’ve got some quick remedies for removing them. Now you’ll be able to remove those pesky stains in no time.
