The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) which is a report that compiles consumer evaluations of products and services annually, found that Electrolux, one of the largest manufacturers in Tennessee, leaped by over five percent in customer satisfaction while other brands dropped or had little increase.
Last year, Electrolux expanded their cooking manufacturing facility in Springfield. The expansion makes Springfield the company’s research and development center and purchasing headquarters for cooking products in North America and the global development center for electronics for the Electrolux brand. Approximately 75 new engineering and technical jobs were created as a result of the expansion. The facility was expanded by three stories, 21,000 square feet. It added world-class cooking laboratories and development facilities to the factory. The office space was also renovated.
Electrolux is also building a North American Cooking Products manufacturing center in Memphis. The plant is estimated to create more than 1,200 jobs. The new facility is expected to be completely operational in 2014. Not only is Electrolux bringing more jobs to Tennessee, but it draws positive attention to our state.
